SAFETY AND STABILITY
The main driving shaft of the new system drives a closed loop hydraulic motor system that allows the platform to descend in a slow and controlled rate. In the event of power loss or the loss of both disc brakes, transmission or motor failure the platform can still descend safely. There is no need to wait for power restoration. The hydraulic emergency function is activated when the operator presses on the brake release foot pedal.
If the entry gates are open the platform will not start. The gates must be closed and locked. This alternative is safer than other systems where the operator can open the gates and the platform will still travel.
The platform will not travel if the load is over capacity.
If any one of the four chains is removed the platform will not fall nor will the platform become substantially unbalanced.
Stabilizer rails prevent swaying in high winds, if the platform is located outside, and they also aid stabilization during high climbs.
- Solid state motor control – no mechanical relays used to reverse the motor.
- It is impossible to push either the up or down button without pushing the stop button first.
